From the Red Onion Saloon in Skagway Alaska to Lee’s Unleaded on Chicago’s Southside; or down at Paul Raymond’s old Soho review bar, and on to the main stage at Colne’s Great British R&B Festival, this band of musicians have fully matured with skill, dedication and craft.
Apprenticed alongside the masters, playing with blues grandees like Fenton Robinson, Charlie Musselwhite, Lefty Diz, Miss Cubie, Roscoe Gordon, Lazy Lester, Lurrie Bell, or Pete Special, they’ve learned how to improvise and innovate within the blues tradition. And that has yielded results.
“Singer and guitarist Mike Atherton has just the right vocal inflections and his guitar playing exactly the required amount of rage, subtlety and skill; he can slide or play guitar with the best of them…. Startlingly original yet strangely familiar, sit back while Mike lays down his angular lyrics then pow!, take that guitar right between the eyes” Blues Matters Magazine
“TCs playing, nails it, great tone and great phrasing . Every note counts. No spewing of frivolous rock baloney. Straight ahead good blues. It’s downright refreshing to hear.” Charlie Musselwhite
“An excellent Blues Band” Paul Jones – BBC Radio 2
