If you have any questions, inquiries or need help regarding booking please contact us via the email form. The Club House is ran entirely by volunteers, who will aim to reply to all queries within 24 hours.
Visiting the club house
The Clubhouse is located on the Promenade between Ye Olde Fighting Cocks and Albion. There is parking on the Promenade and a car park by the viaduct. It is in walking distance of much of the village.
You can get to Arnside by train easily. The village is on the railway line from Manchester Airport, Preston and Lancaster to Barrow. Trains are roughly hourly. The last train south to Lancaster is 2226 with onward connections to Preston. There are trains to Barrow at 2252 and 2347. If using a taxi to get home, we advise you to pre-book one. Bus services are very limited. A daytime public transport option from Kendal is bus to Grange-over-Sands then train to Arnside. You can park bicycles in our back garden locked to railings by prior arrangement.
If you want to eat in Arnside prior to a concert, the Albion, Fighting Cocks and Arnside Chip Shop all serve food. In summer you could bring a picnic and eat on the beach or pier. You could combine a visit to Arnside in the day with a concert. There are cafes open during the day.
There are several places that offer overnight accommodation in Arnside, including the Fighting Cocks, Kentwood Guest House and a number of AirBnBs. Parking rules restrict overnight parking of camper vans on the Promenade, though there are nearby camp sites, where you can stay.
There are 12 steps up from the street level into the clubhouse bar/music venue. For visitors who are unable to walk up or down the steps, there is access to the rear of the building, which can be used to get into the bar/music venue. The access is uneven and would probably require assistance. There is a ramp at the rear door and the bar/music venue which is flat. Wheelchair users will need assistance using the ramp.
The toilets in the clubhouse are on a level with the bar/music venue, but are standard door width, limiting wheelchair access. There is no disabled toilet facility within the club. Please be aware that some clubhouse events are standing or have limited unreserved seating, though we could reserve seating for you.

Artists wanting to perform at the Club House
We’re always looking to host new and exciting artists at our venue. We’re open to most styles and genres and welcome applications to perform. We put on around 60 concerts a year, and have a lot of requests from talented performers and musicians to come and play. Unfortunately this means that we have to turn down a lot of artists. Before you apply please read the below information.
We receive numerous applications and requests from artists who would no doubt go down a storm at the Club House, however we have to turn them down simply because of their lack of promotional material or online presence. Most our advertising is done through social media and our email newsletter. So we need to be able to promote our acts as well as possible. Our acts need to
- Have a good social media presence (particularly facebook)
- Have at least two good quality videos that are a good representation of what they do on stage
- Have a promo image available in high res Jpeg.
- Have a well written bio ready for us to use
We are open to pretty much all genres at the Club House and love to give new acts a platform to showcase their music. In particular we like to put on those, that might not fit in so well with the typical pub/club scene. We’re particularly interested in
- Acts that perform mostly original material
- Acts dedicated to performing
Whilst we appreciate any performer that’s able to get up on stage and perform, we’re less interested in booking.
- Cover Bands
- Performers who use backing tracks
- Acts with a lack of promotional material (read our “be promotable” tab for guidance on this.
