Monthly Blues Jam with Checkerboard Lounge

In the authentic tradition of Muddy Waters, Ethan Thomas leads the raw and earthy Checkerboard Lounge in an irresistible feast of rhythm and blues with Martin Mcdonald on guitar, Alex Green on bass and Steve Harrison on drums.

On the first Sunday of every month we run a blues jam from 4 to 7:30pm. A different band holds the session each month, who kick off with their own short set, before getting musicians up to jam with them. All musicians are welcome, whether you want to front the band or join in with the rhythm section, the choice is yours and the possibilities are endless! Entry is free for musicians getting up to play.
